Revised 2021 version of one of the best cylinder kits available for Piaggio mopeds / mopeds.
This is the version with 12 mm piston pin.
This cast iron cylinder offers a very good increase in performance over the entire speed range and makes it one of the most popular 63 cc racing cylinders for Piaggio.
The workmanship is very clean and the matching of the piston windows to the overflow channels and boost parts is also very good. The webs in the area of the cylinder skirt significantly reduce the risk of piston jamming and make the cylinder extremely durable.
With the reworking, the triangular shape of the top land was adapted to a longitudinal shape. As a result, the cylinder fits much better on racing gear such as the Polini Speed Engine, but less well on the original gear. Fortunately, there is enough sealing surface available so that you can bring the channels back into a triangular shape on the cylinder if necessary.
In addition to installing a larger cylinder, we recommend that you always adjust the carburetor and exhaust accordingly. Ideally, you should also modify the intake and the overflow ducts or use a racing case.
Because the combustion chamber is optimally matched to the cylinder, we recommend using the Malossi cylinder head. Alternatively, the cylinder can also be operated with the original head.
