The seal is a small and inconspicuous component that is nevertheless essential for the full functionality of your Sachs bike. Care is required when replacing seals and oil seals
A puddle of oil under the moped rarely bodes well. The cause is often a defective seal on the housing cover, cylinder or oil filler neck. If the seals and O-rings can no longer reliably fulfil their task as a connecting element between two components, they must be replaced. Fortunately, this small but important component can usually be replaced by hand with a new seal or oil seal in just a few steps. Provided you have the right tools to hand. When dismantling the Sachs moped and reassembling the moped seals or oil seals, it is important to remove any residue from the old part completely and with great care without scratching the sealing surfaces. For optimum sealing properties, it is also advisable not to use certain parts such as engine gaskets or aluminium sealing washers more than once, but to replace them in each disassembly and assembly cycle.
