Quality for your moped drive from the number 1
When metal meets metal, this usually results in high material stresses, and this also applies to the drive of your moped. Drive chains must be able to withstand extreme thermal and mechanical loads. In addition, the chain should run as quietly as possible and be characterised by durability. Special, particularly high-quality materials are required to combine all these properties. These are processed by the Dutch manufacturer KMC, which has been the world's largest and most renowned producer of chains for many years. So there's no question that we offer you pedalling and drive chains from this manufacturer in our range. In addition to the new chain, you will of course also find a suitable chain lock or quick-release fastener. With chains from KMC, you and your moped are equipped for everything, even for racing or cross-country use.
Quiet and resilient: Extra-reinforced chains from KMC
For many years, the Dutch brand has dedicated itself exclusively to the production of high-quality chains for mopeds, bicycles and motorbikes. From individual chain links to chain locks or quick-release fasteners, KMC products are made from special alloys that the manufacturer has continuously optimised over the years. Among other things, they are characterised by their particular durability and wear resistance. This ensures high mileage and maximum performance even under the highest loads. The manufacturer's chains are generally universal products that can be used for almost any motorbike. All you have to do is cut the pedal or drive chain to the correct length using a chain cutter. With the right chain lock or quick-release fastener, the chain can be fitted in no time at all. However, KMC chains are not only quiet, they also allow you to customise the look of your moped. The manufacturer's coloured chains are an absolute eye-catcher on your moped.
From backyard factory in Taiwan to global market leader
The KMC brand has its origins in Taiwan, where the company was founded in 1977 by Charles Wu as a small chain factory. However, the founder's ambition was to one day become one of the ‘big names’ in the business, a goal he consistently worked towards. Thanks to the efforts of its founder, the company was able to expand into China as early as 1983 and open several branches there. The first subsidiary in Europe was finally founded in 1995, and after initial difficulties, the company was also able to quickly gain a foothold in Europe and the rest of the world. Today, KMC has a total of 11 production sites in Taiwan, China, the Netherlands, the USA, Indonesia and Vietnam. The company is now the world's largest supplier of chains for mopeds, bicycles and motorbikes and supplies its products not only to numerous renowned vehicle manufacturers, but also to over 150 countries.
